Posted by admin in Medical Philanthropy on 03 15th, 2010 | no responses

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation advocates the promotion of health, as well as the general growth and development of the society. In line with its mission, the AACDCF facilitates numerous programs that involve the restoration of the lives of those who have suffered from domestic abuse, the advancement of cosmetic dentistry, and others.

A few of the organization’s medical initiatives include the Give Back A Smile program, the Whitening Program, and the Disaster Relief Fund. The organization came up with the Give Back a Smile program in order to address the certain needs of the AACD members’ various communities. For the Give Back a Smile program, the AACDCF gathered a number volunteer laboratory technicians as well as a group of dentists to restore the teeth of several survivors of intimate partner violence.

The group’s Whitening program on the other hand was initiated with the help of Discus Dental and the Ultradent Products Inc. Several dental offices and clinics have given away whitening kits in exchange for a donation of $225 to the AACDCF. The accumulated funds were used to bankroll the various medical programs of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation.

Finally, the Disaster Relief Fund was initiated by the organization in 2005 to raise funds in order to help a number of dentists who were victimized by the Katrina and Rita storms.
