Is Dermal Filler the Treatment for you?

Posted by admin in Cosmetic Health on 05 17th, 2010 | no responses

Dermal filling is a method that aims to smooth the skin from furrows, facial and lip lines, dimples and crow’s feet by stretching the space under them with a special filler injection. This procedure is suitable for plumping the lips and smoothing out wrinkles on the face.

As people grow older, the skin loses its fat and collagen, gradually leaving the skin to sag and form wrinkles and lines, which is why this treatment is suitable for adults, provided that they have consulted their doctor about it.

However, there are younger people, particularly those in their teens to twenties, who want to have this procedure to make them look young for as long as possible. There are also those who look older than their age because of wrinkles and lines and wish to undergo the treatment with the approval of their doctor and guardian.

Several doctors are strict about who they would approve to have this treatment. If they think that a patient is not healthy enough, or if he is going to have it for the wrong purposes, then they will not allow it. This is due to the concern for the patient who will possibly not heal as quickly as the others, or who will not be happy with the results.

Moreover, there are doctors who do not treat patients under the age of 18, not unless they have consent from their guardian and a critical reason for it. Therefore, it is imperative to consult your doctor, with your valid reasons for the treatment, before setting a dermal filling appointment.
